Borden Cracker Jack Recipe
Ingredients:
4 quarts of popped popcorn
4 Tbsps of butter
1/2 cup of light-corn syrup
1/4 tsp of salt
1 cup of Spanis peanuts
1 cup of sugar (brown)
1/8 cup of molasses
Instructions:
Prepare your oven. Heat it to two-hundred fifty degrees F. Combine peanuts and popcorn in metal mixing bowl then put into heated oven.
You combine rest of the ingredients together in saucepan. Stir over mid-heat then allow to boil ’til it reaches 260 degrees F or hard-boil stage, about 20-25 mins.
Your mixture will become dark-brown. Remove peanuts & popcorn from oven then pour caramel mix quickly in fine-stream all over.
Have them placed at the back of oven for about 15 mins. Mix thoroughly every five minutes to fully coat popcorn. Cool completely & store them in tightly-covered container.
